Scidrones, a spin-off of the University of the Aegean, has been chosen as a case study in a PhD dissertation at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA). The research focuses on the success factors of academic spin-offs in Greece and the role of the national entrepreneurial ecosystem in their development.
Scidrones was selected for its pioneering work in marine pollution monitoring using drone and AI technologies, as well as its strong contribution to green innovation and sustainability.
“Our inclusion in this research is both an honor and a recognition of our team’s efforts,” said Argyris Moustakas, Co-founder and COO. “It highlights the vital link between academic research and real-world impact.”
The study aims to provide policy-relevant insights and is expected to conclude in 2027.
