On May 9, 2025, Scidrones COO Argyris Moustakas was invited to speak at the DESFA Innovation Spark #1 event, an internal initiative organized by DESFA in collaboration with Found.ation. The online session, titled “Navigating Uncertainty through the Startup Ecosystem”, brought together innovators, startup founders, and corporate teams to explore how startup thinking can thrive in volatile times.
As part of the Fireside Chat: Stories from the Frontlines, Argyris joined another Greek founder to discuss the reality of building and scaling a mission-driven startup. Drawing from Scidrones’ journey in developing the Coastal Marine Litter Observatory (CMLO), he shared practical insights into navigating uncertainty, forming strategic partnerships, and scaling environmental impact with limited resources.
The discussion highlighted how startups, with their agility and experimental approach, can offer valuable lessons in resilience and innovation—lessons increasingly relevant for organizations of all sizes.
